Re skill advice from members here

  • Hi,
I used to be a .NET developer, SSIS and TSQL developer for almost 6 years and then i took a break of 5 years and did non-technical work. I want to return to the technology by brushing up my skills in sql server.

Although my goal is to learn Power BI but I am thinking of starting with giving an exam  "767: Implementing SQL Data Warehouse" , this will give me confidence and starting point.

    Please suggest?

    Regards,
    Pavas

  • The exams do give you a study path, but not sure that's what you need here. It can't hurt if you study the concepts for the exams and practice.

If you want to brush up on SQL, I could recommend going through our Stairways on T-SQL and practicing the exercises yourself, maybe using a different database to try and get familiar with querying.

For Power BI, Microsoft has a few courses on their EdX site.
