Migrating SSIS pacakges to SQL Server 2012 containing Execute DTS pacakge Task

    Hi,

    I have some packages that containing Execute DTS Package task for many of the packages. These packages are migrated from SQL server 2000 DTS packages

    AS SQL Server does not contain Execute DTS package task, upgrade was not possible. Can any one knows how to migrate the DTS packages to SQL server 2012 SSIS packages.

    As far as I know there is no way, DTS is no longer supported. In short, you are going to have to rewrite the packages. given that DTS is over 15 years old and they allowed you to extend their life with Exec DTS all you did was delay the inevitable.
