I have worked quite a bit on physical and VM's. Trying to get my hand dirty in Azure world. I was given a task related to performance , i noticed all the disks were created as unmanaged and i confirm via various stress tests and comparing different environments that this could be one of the reasons for poor performing disk. Looks like i will have to migrate to managed disks, i went through MSFT documentation and looks like the steps are pretty straight forward. Has anyone run into any issues? I wanted to get your feedback what are other things i could do make sure i can recover the VM incase things go really bad, other than restoring from backups how can i bring this VM back to its previous state in shortest amount of time.
