After installing the MDS Plug-in for 2019, it will not connect to a 2017 MDS installation. I did not see any references that it was not compatible with the 2017 version. Has anyone else had this problem? Our work around was to uninstall the 2019 Excel plug-in and re-install the 2017 version. This is going to make upgrading a bit more difficult.
The more you are prepared, the less you need it.

I'm unfortunately not using MDS 2019 but I can confirm that MDS 2016 Plugin won't work with MDS 2014 either. I think MDS 2014 Plugin is compatible with MDS 2012 and that's about it.

I confirm that Excel add in 2019 does not work with MDS 2017. Interestingly, Excell addin 2016 and 2017 works with both MDS 2017 and MDS 2019 ...
