JDBC invalid object name, but the object exists

  • Hello experts,

A developer reported this error when trying to query a DB:

invalid object ERROR o.h.util.JDBCExceptionReporter - Invalid object name ...

However, I checked the DB and the table exists, and I logged in as the app login and can see and select from the table.

Can anyone recommend a general approach to troubleshooting this kind of behavior? Should I check the SQL drivers on the client, ask the developer or systems people what they see in the logs? It seems so odd an error to report if the object in fact exists and the permissions are there.

    Thanks for any help.

A SQL query walks into a bar and sees two tables. He walks up to them and asks, "Can I join you?"
