  I have both

  MS SQL 2008 R2 and MS SQL 2014 (both developer editions)

  Both are missing the ability to use the wizard to create a Datawarehouse

  What am I missing in the install?

  Do I need to do a MDW install or something ?? Any ideas where the links are?

  I'm not aware of a wizard to create any data warehouse but it sounds like you might be looking for the wizard to create the Management Data Warehouse. That wizard is under the Management node then go to and right click on Data Collection then select Tasks then Configure Management Data Warehouse.

  I would have no idea where you looked from the post and thought that's what you meant by where is the link as my mind reading skills have deteriorated. Try using a more current version of SSMS and see if that works.
