how long it will take to install SP2 on top of SQL 2005

  Hi,

  I am planning to apply SP2 on top of SQL 2005. I was asked for the downtime it will take for this task. I done one long time ago and don't remember how long it took...anyone has a good estimation?

  Plus, I was asked it is easy to back out...can I just uninstall the SP2 without uninstall SQL 2005 RTM?

  Time depends on your hardware. Once applied, the only way to back out is to uninstall and reinstall RTM.

  Thanks Lynn. we have NT 5.0 machine. I gave 2-3 hours for the whole process (including db backups, the databases are small). Hope it is enough...
