The following error stops processing of a shared dimension:
Analysis Server Error: More than the maximum of 64,000 dimension member children for a single parent (dimension 'student'S', level 'Student Id', member 'GIRON, TOMAS').; Time:2/6/2003 5:12:25 PM
The dimensional table tbl_student contains 118770 rows. Any help would be appreciated.

Yep...you have more than 64,000 unique data members for that level. Look into Books On Line for 'grouping levels' and have analysis services construct an 'artificial' grouping level to break those members up. This grouping level can be hidden so neither you or your users have to see it. This should fix the problem...
