I have received the following error message on 4 different servers: "Installation of the Microsoft Full-Text Search Engine package failed."
2 servers had SP1 installed and I received the error when trying to install SP2.
2 other servers were new and I received the message installing SP1 on one and SP2 on the other.
I also have 2 servers where the installation of SP1 and SP2 have been successful.
Has anyone seen this error and how did you get around it??

Not sure but the install should have created a log of the events that in went thru and may offer some help. Sorry I forget the names but should be in a temp folder or the root of the C drive somewhere, pretty sure it is the prior.
