clustered db

  • Hi everyone,

How can I check to see if clustering is enabled on my database?

  • Can you expand a little - are you refering to a clusterd virtual SQL Server?

  • I am really not sure, I just downloaded a SQL Server HotFix and they say the following:

"If you install this hotfix on a server that is running SQL Server 2000 Enterprise

Edition with clustering enabled, please use the section titled "Hotfix Installation

Steps for SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition with Clustering Enabled" for

    installation instructions. "

I looked everywhere to find info on clustered database, came up empty. Thanks in advance for your help.

  • This is referring to if you have SQL Server running on a Windows 2000 cluster (two or more servers servicing requests as one virtual server), where SQL Server is a clustered application. If you are running SQL Server on a single box, it's not clustered except in rare cases (and your system administrator should know about that).
