  Based on the following sentence on the page used as reference for the explanation, I would expect that the backup fails.

  Note that if any file in a filegroup is offline (for example, because the file is being restored), the whole filegroup is offline and cannot be backed up.

  So does this mean that the backup completes, but didn't make the backup, but neither it raise an error?
