never mind.. the user had to log out so his permissions in the group is seen by ssrs-->ssas.

Hello,
I have several cubes in SSAS that i've made accessible in the SSRS website as data sources for users to connect. The user will use report builder to connect to the cube.

When i grant access to the cube to a local machine user, it works.
When i take out the user and replace the user with a local machine group that the user is a member of, the user can not access the cube.

When adding members to the roles, do they have to be users? Or is the problem the local group i.e. does it have to be a domain group. the machine is not on a 'domain' yet for my purposes. and i don't want to have to set 10 users in 10 cubes but instead 1 group in 10 cubes.

any suggestions or help would be nice.
