I'm looking to send SQL Server 2005 events to a Cisco MARS server without having to purchase enterprise Snare Server to get the SQL agent.

Is anyone doing this? Or has anyone done this, or at least know how?

How about using Perl scripts (net::syslog, win32::events) or any such thing to capture events, even not in connection to MARS?

Thanks!!
