USING ADO 2.8, I HAVE THE FOLLOWING CONNECTION STRING THAT WORKS:
Public CnMgt As New ADODB.Connection

strServerName = "ABC\SQLEXPRESS"
strFilenameNoExtension = "TEST"

CnMgt.Open "PROVIDER=MS REMOTE;REMOTE SERVER=HTTP://55.66.111.888;REMOTE Provider=SQLNCLI;server=" & strServerName & ";Database=" & strFilenameNoExtension & ";Trusted_Connection=Yes;"

IS THIS THE RECOMMENDED METHOD OR IS THERE A BETTER ONE AND ONE MORE SECURE?

IF YOU RECOMMEND DIFFERENT METHODS, COULD YOU PLEASE INCLUDE SOME SAMPLE CONNECTION STRINGS

THANK YOU
