I was wondering how many folks are using EMC Data Domains... what kind of restore transfer rates you are getting from the device? We are doing dumps and restores right from the device (CIFS share) and noticing a very strange skew between reads and writes. Backups are close to 200/mb restores are sometimes closer to 14-20MB. We are able to get better numbers by "stripping" the dumps but they still seem way off. I would expect that restores would be slower but not by the ratio we are observing

Thanks for any insight you might have
