In mirrored and replicated environments can the Principal/Publisher instance be 64-bit and the partner/subscriber instance be 32-bit or vice-versa ?

My inclination is yes, as it is my understaniding that as long as both sides are at the same version/patch level, there is no difference in the database files and their stucture. But I just want to be sure.
