You can download .mdf files from here http://msftdbprodsamples.codeplex.com/
and then after restoring them make backup (.bak) files.

I don't understand your question, you are missing your backup files? And you don't know where you saved them?...did u delete it? Please clarify your question.

Using below link you can easily create backup of database and easily found the .bak file because here you can provide the path where you want to save your backup file.
