Hi All,

I have an DB connection error issue while running a batch job from the APPLICATION Server.

I have 3 servers. 1) Application Server 2) Oracle Database server (Data Source) 3) SQL Database Server(Data Destination Database)

Batch file is scheduled to run from the APP Server every day, That can fetch the data from Oracle server to SQL Server. This Batch job can run for 8 hours daily.

most of the times it works fine. monthly 4-5 time it is failing and start again.

Please find the error details as mentioned below

D:\upload\bin>crpupld ../data/folderxxxx/TR0000102010900.dat /d /t
Error connecting to DB [SQLCODE = [-19703], SQLERRMC = [Failed to get DBPROCESS.
]]D:\upload\bin>upload.bat

Please give your valuable suggestions and please let us know why this is happening and what’s the resolution.

i am sorry to inform you that you havent posted enough information regarding the error/failure.i am sure nobody can help you with the tiny provided information. but only thing which i can pull out from here is, its happening because of connection failure(and there could be enormous reason) . you might get some hepl in sql error log or system log.

I work only to learn Sql Server...though my company pays me for getting their stuff done;-)
