Simon, I think this post alone has justified my need to go to PASS next year. Like you said, the ability to talk to experts about the challenges you are facing in your own company and to get advice on how to tackle challenges is reason enough to go. Thank you for the information about Dell as well. We run our SQL environments on Dell servers and having that SQL advisor tool will come in really handy next time we are spec'ing out new hardware.

I had heard rumors about querying cubes using DAX before. Glad to see that MS is still going down that path. DAX is much more familiar than MDX to most of us since we have all had to use Excel at one time or another. I think this move alone will open up SSAS as an option to more companies.
