Generally when reviewing a server we capture a bunch of perfmon counters using either SQLDiag, or just perfmon either via GUI or via LogMan.exe.

But now we have a large distributed environment to profile. Obviously we wont be gathering micro level statists on all servers, but we want a general view of all servers, to give us an idea of where to start digging in to look for performance issues.

Our plan is to capture a bunch of perfmon counters on each server, but our problem is we dont want to set this up on each of the 20+ servers.

I know that the MAP tool does some performance counter gathering so that may be useful, but can anyone recommend any other tools that might make this job easier?
