svr1: primary svr, transactional repl setup, distribution db and publisher exist, one db.

svr2: reporting svr, used only as subscriber to one db.

All is well with how replication is setup and it works fine. Now here is the problem:

Made a copy of the db from svr1 and restore it to svr2. It created a new publisher for this restored db which I did not want. I scrubbed all data from the system tables under this newly restored db and was able to delete the newly created publisher. Stopped all repl jobs on svr1 and stopped and restarted sql services. When I tried to detach this db it says that its being used for replication. w00t

What other areas do I need to look to resolve this issue?
