I tried to apply a hotfix on my PC to fix a bug (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=2793634). It failed with errors such as "Could not write value SupportFiles to key \Products\F3170BC80EFCD544CB2B35485668E0A1\Features. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel". I am a local admin on my PC. Any ideas?
My computer is running Windows 7 Professional SP1. I currently have SQL Server 2012 SP1 installed (11.0.3000).
Thanks!

Update: Upon reading the SqlSupport_Cpu64_1.log file, I found this: "APPCOMPAT: no matching ProductCode found in database." So I think something happened to my ProductCode. I'm guessing I need to reinstall?

Per a suggestion, I tried to install CU3. Nope. Didn't work. Although I have a different error now:
The installer has encountered an unexpected error. The error code is 2908. Could not register component {C56E0FBE-19FC-464A-BC12-8881EDE5A2EF}.
Error code: 2908
