We here at a global <un-named> financial services company, are *still* upgrading to SQL 2005 (64 bit enterprise). I personally cannot see any benefit in upgrading to SQL 2008 - we were even offered free consulting by MS to be an 'early uptaker' of 2k8, but in the industry we're in, with MS's track record of bugs in new releases, our management decided that it was not worth the risk when you're dealing with billions of privately invested dollars. We definately need 2k5 to be supported for longer.
