Since the question states "...using the log backups", and there can't be any in Simple mode, my reasoning was that the correct answer has to be "none of the above". Answering "No" implies that there are log backups, but that you can't recover from them.I know that this is arguing semantics a bit, but what's the point of a none of the above if it's meaningless?
Well, if there is a log backup only from the point after the 1000 records are updated/inserted then the answer can ONLY be no, because you couldn't restore from the only log file you have.
But yeah, that choice and the way the question was phrased leaves a bit to be desired.
