This book is truly "gold". Designing the hardware/optimised database solution for a complex 24/7 high available SQL Server 2005 integrated app it's not a simple task and information on web is often not at the level of detail required for such a task. Also it's hard and costly to have a dev environment that would copy exactly the production one we can dream of - even with VMs, we are limited to 32 bit SQL clusters. Again, this book answers to many unknowns while in DB pre-capacity planning and designing phases.
