• I am a CNA and MCP (just lazy and have not taken the MCDBA tests I need to finish which would also finish my MCSE) My biggest beef is the way Microsoft does not keep your certification in effect when they phase a product out. My CNA is for NetWare4 and is recognized that way. With Microsofts phasing out and not allowing you to keep your certification titles based on product is poor (again IMHO). I see lots of houses that still use SQL 6.5 and hiring a 7 DBA is not the best solution. I do like Brians point thou, you should have experience before you take the certification but with the way technology changes daily that is not fesiable either (CPA requirements change very little but as you see with 65. to 7 there were major changes). I believe Microsoft shoudl adopt MCDBA 7 and MCDBA 2000 that way when you go to a company and say we want a 7 person you have that title not just MCDBA and have never worked with 6.5. Just my 2cents.
