• I'm a CPA (Certified Public Acct) and held technical certifications (CNE, MCSE, currently working on MCDBA). The accounting world has long recognized that passing test(s) is not enough. An individual earns the title of CPA only after passing a hellish 3 day test AND 2 years of public or 5 years of private accounting experience (and then he's still green). This can be duplicated in the technical world. Try this: A minimum time period (i.e. 2 - 3 years) employement at a Microsoft Solution Provider +plus+ passing the exams should reduce the cat fights, increase the coin associated with the certification(s) and provide more comfort to entities hiring the "certified professionals".
