    Hi All,
    Thanks in advance for your help.
    I am looking to setup log shipping to a report server but I do not want to disconnect users to do the restore. If I choose not to disconnect users for the log shipping restore, how soon will the logs be restored? As soon as all users are disconnected or at the next restore time? Some jobs run for over 2 hours and I want to setup log shipping to occur every hour. I am assuming the logs will be queued for restore until the report server can restore them?

    The users have to be disconnected for the log restores. You can delay the restores but they need to be done eventually.
    The logs are restored when you schedule them. You are the one who controls that. If the logs aren't restored, the users need to understand it's not current data.
    The log backup job on the primary can run every hour and the files would be available to the secondary in the folder you specified at startup.
