    Hi ,

    I have  to change the size of one of the column of table in production server  which having more than 3 cr data.
    Existing  data type of this is varchar(150) now  we  want to made it varchar(300)
    Please suggest impact of this on data base growth and how we can analysis as   it's  transnational  table (More than 50-80 thousands records are inserted per day )

    Please guide if any know well .

    Its not even a bigger change to the existing table, May I know why you need to change the length of the existing field now ? because of any of the following
    1) any recent Release on the source table / view ?
    2) new requirement OR any 
    Possible impacts:
    Unless your prod server db. table has been used by other shared services team, no other possible impacts.
