Windows 2012 Clustering

  • We have a SQL 2012 installation installed on a Windows 2012 cluster and are changing from iSCSI to fibre attached storage on the same SAN and LUNS. To do so we need to stop the cluster services before we detach storage and re-start the cluster services after the new fibre connections are made and drives are re-attached.

My question lies around the re-start. Every document I can find gives me the options around using the Failover Cluster Manager or PowerShell. However the re-start option only ever seems to be via PowerShell.

Does anyone know if the clustering services can be re-started from from the Failover Cluster Manager or is PowerShell the only option?
