• We went live with SQL2014 CTP2 for our BI servers. For the stuff that existed in SQL2008R2 we have not noticed any problems. We are deferring the use of Hekaton until we have upgraded to RTM and CU1, but this is due to work prioritisation and not to concerns with the product.

We are using the BufferPool Extension feature, which has shifted over 90% of our database IO from spinning disk to SSD and given a good performance boost.

For any new installation of SQL2014 I would recommend you go direct to CU1. You have to test the environment whatever you do, and CU1 has a lot of useful fixes.
