I'm with everyone else. I wouldn't suggest waiting for SPs at this point. There have just been fewer and fewer of them. I suspect they may be going the way of the dodo. However, there has already been a Cumulative Update (CU) for SQL Server 2014. That might help calm the fears of your co-workers.
