That's certainly a bug if it's happening.All your posts should be editable by you only and I use this button at least weekly. It seems to work well for me.
I'll ask a few people to test.
Steve, I have been able to edit my own posts with no issue. I think what the OP is reporting is that there is an edit button for everybody's posts (which is a bit strange). If I click the edit button for somebody else's post it seems to take me back to my last actual post. A little strange but why are we trying to edit somebody else's post in the first place?
