I'm getting a new Windows 7 desktop. From a powershell perspective, probably a good thing.

But, I have a goodly number of Network Places mapped on my XP box, and I'd like to re-create those mappings on my new box.

I've not seen anything that looks programmatic / PoSh in my search results. They seem to point to AddNetPlaceRunDll, but....

    Any ideas?

Yes... make them give you the upgrade to Windows 8.1.

Totally agree. I preferred Windows 8.0 over 7. I never saw what the big fuss was about. Once you have shortcuts or pins to your commonly used apps then you usually have to scour for that app you are sure was installed. I prefer the Win8 search over the Start Bar search any day. Plus there are a lot of other improvements as well. PowerShell being a case in point.
