• Hi Everyone,

I managed to install MS SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise into Windows 7 by following the steps below -

1). Added my Windows Account to 'Debug Programs'

    Start | Run | Type: gpedit.msc | OK | Navigate to Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\User Rights Assignment\Debug programs

2). Uninstalled every trace of anything and everything with the program name MS SQL... using CCleaner.

3). Cleaned the registry using CCleaner

4). Installed MS SQL Server R2 2008 using the excellent YouTube video instructions linked below -

As a side note I also used a script to enable the MS SQL Ports, it is available here.

I would like to thank everybody again for all of the help that I have received with my post.

    Kind Regards,

    Davo
