Designing the ERD ..I am trying to create a lookup entity for my Header(Entity) which has Producttype as one of the attributes.
Header_---- Tablename(Entity)
----
----
producttype ---- columnname(attribute)
----
-----
ProductLookup------Tablename(Entity)
Producttype PK (Varchar)columnname(attribute)
Is this a good approach ?
Hard to say what you have going on here. From what you posted I can't begin to interpret what this means.
It sort of looks like you are designing an EAV (entity attribute value) type of scenario. Can you explain what you are trying to do and what this "diagram" is trying to indicate?
