    I need to gather the following prod information for a particular environment

    a.Physical Server Specification ( Storage)

    b.SQL Server Configuration (Data Storage Placement, Partition, Data file sizes)

    Can't really help you with a. That is your hardware. Now finding where it is being stored is another topic.

    You can look at sys.database_files. If you need to know this for all databases you will have to look at this catalog view for each database. That will tell you what files are being used.

    **Note** the size column is the number of 8k pages. To determine the actual size of the file in KB just multiply that by 8.
