Hmm. Now you have me puzzled. A google search came up with the following from MSDN:Hopefully this approach will help. Haven't ever gotten to the point where the window won't recover from the right click/variables method but it sounds like the next step may be to try the window layout refresh.
I tried to reset my window layout, then clicked view, other windows, and then variables but still the window is not showing up. So frustrating as I need to create more variables in my package. Argh! Thanks for the link though, it's too bad it didn't work for me.
