Great article! This is the type of information that DBA's should learn. Knowing that your DB Server is connected to a SAN / NAS system shouldn't be the limit of your knowledge. You should have at least rudimentary knowledge of the underlying connectivity and infrastructure - whether it's FCP, iSCSI, FCoE, etc.
