I used to use Live Writer. It works, but you have to have changed your password.

What I've moved to is blogging elsewhere and then syndicating back over to keep a second copy. The Community Server version we have is a little flaky and I don't completely trust it. I use WordPress, and might suggest you do the same.

If you can't get LiveWriter to work, send an email to the webmaster.
