I was expecting there to at least be a few comments on this one.

I, like you, have found that the DMVs are useful. I find that, despite some of the problems, I can get relative performance information faster and easier through the DMVs in many cases.

I would have to agree on both counts.

I think this book will be one to buy - we just don't have a lot of information on using the DMVs, and I think that this will be quite useful.

I don't think my cause was helped by forgetting to take the editorial out of "draft" mode. It meant that until yesterday the editorial wasn't visible and the "discussion" link didn't work. Ermm
