For current employees or those with a Scottrade account? Is the Scottrade Stockbroker a Reactionary Customer Service Broker or more of a Retail Salesman Broker?

Scottrade employs what they call "branch stock brokers." Their primary function is what you would call a retail salesman, meaning you are expected to seek new customers through the traditional methods of cold calling and mailing, as well as handling walk-in customers, and, naturally, you would provide general customer service for your clients. You would also be responsible for assisting online customers in your area should they need to come in with documents, certificates, etc...
