hi guys,

i would like to ask if you know what is the maximum length of character that the "String" parameter can accomodate. i am trying to save a data from that parameter but apparently the value passed from that parameter gets truncated. i also noticed that it could only hold 255 characters. is there a possible way to modify the string type of parameter so that i can adjust the size for that value.

Best Regards,

I don't know of a way to specify a longer length of parameter strings in the SSRS configuration, but one thing besides size that may cause parameter strings to be truncated (if it is the report request URL querystring that is getting truncated) is if there is an ampersand embedded somewhere in the parameter string. Like any other URL with a querystring it will be truncated after an ampersand character is detected.
