Not sure where to post this but as it's Azure related I hope someone here might be able to point me in the right direction.
We are moving from an on-prem set up to Azure. I've been through a lot of obstacles such as disk sizes and iops etc but I've not got a few good working servers with SQL installed on Iaas.
One decision made was to use the Azure backup for SQL by way of the agent which leads me to my question:
On-prem I backup the databases to a file share and then once a week I have a powershell script which performs a restore test of each database to a special SQL server for this purpose, I want to be able to do similar in Azure and wondered if anyone knows of either an article or a simple way to achieve this using the Azure SQL agent backups?
