We have a project to update our sql server farms to 2017, and we have a few SSRS installs. I was wondering if we can mix the front end and back end version of SQL or do they have to match?
For example could you have SQL2012 SSRS front ends using a SQL 2017data engine ?
Can I set a compatibility level on the backend database or will this break ssrs ?
