Newbie question: can i daisy chain reporting services servers?

  • Hi All,

when building a SSRS infrastructure, can i have one node as a collector in a DMZ, and use another node to publish the reports in another domain (routes permitting)?

I have a locked down area where the servers are, but users that want to view that information dont have access to that area thus i need to port it somewhere else.

    thanks

I'm not real sure what you mean by one node being a collector. If that node is a source of data used by reports, you can do that. The source of the data for reports can be on any node, server, file, etc that the data source for the report can access.
