Service Account in Admin role can't browse cube

    We're experiencing the following issue, where a service account is not able to consume data from a cube. The idea is this SV would be used as the account that hosts dashboards in the Power BI Service:

    Unfortunately, I am getting a data access error. I diagnosed it and it seems this account cannot consume data form the cube, 

    Which is weird, because it is a member of the admin role on a cube. 


    However, when I impersonate this account while browsing the cube in SSMS, I am met with the below error. 


    Seeing that this is a SV account, it has a policy set for the password not to expire, and I can log into Power BI using the account and pw combination, so not sure what would be the issue here.

    Any guidance would be appreciated?

    Did you check the impersonation settings for the Data Source? Some more information on the different settings in the documentation:
    Impersonation
    Set Impersonation Options

    If those seem fine I would check to see if it's an AD communication issue - check the windows event logs on the SSAS server.
