Missing Analysis Services, Reporting Services and Integration Services

  • Hello,
I just installed Visual Studio 2017 Professional where i have checked workloads according to this link https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/ssdt/download-sql-server-data-tools-ssdt?view=sql-server-2017 but when i try to create new Integration Services project i don't have templates needed. Could you please help me to add standard templates? I've attached Print Screen view appropriate view of VS 2017.

  • Did you already have VS installed before hand or not? If yes, did you install SSDT as a separate VS instance? If yes again, did you launch the correct instance?

If no, perhaps you didn't install those addins. launch the Visual Studio installer (On Windows 10, this is simply done by opening the start menu and typing "visual", and it should be one of the returned options). Find Microsoft SQL Server Data Tolls for Visual Studio, click the More button and then modify. Then select the relevant addins you want and go through the menus.

Excuse my typos and sometimes awful grammar. My fingers work faster than my brain does.

  • Well, unfortunately i still don't know what i am doing wrong.
I've attachted PrintScreen from my installation window of VS 2017 where it can be seen that i've checked SSDT to be installed. No problems occured during installation process. Yet, i don't see SSIS, SSRS or SSAS modules when i am creating new project.
    What to do now?
    Best regards
    Lukas
