I have the following issue:
While processing a certain Cube in the new development server i run into an issue i struggle to explain.
During processing the cube i get an Error because the tempDB is full. BUT:
- The dev System has as much space (each on a seperate disk) for he tempDB as the productive one (that one even had half of it for a time) and it works/worked
--> The 8 tempDB files extend to maximum on both systems during process
--> Why does one stop with an error but the other one completes?
What i have already checked:
- The dev System is fed with data from sap same as the productive one, so to make sure i took a database backup from the prod system which worked for a full process, but the same issue
- It is just a single measuregroup in the cube, but processing this single measuregroup causes the same result, so it doesnt matter if i process the cube or only this measuregroup
- The other cubes run without an issue
- I tried both deploying both: ssas packages from the old dev system, aswell as the ones from the current prod systen
- Ive tried processing the measuregrooup in sequence and parralel
FYI:
The dev system takes longer for persisting tables,inserts, updates….
