data architect certification

  • Hi All, I have been working as a system architect and SQL database engineer for 15 years and I am feeling stale , I am up for a new challenge and I was thinking of moving into data architect.

I have heard CDMP be bounded about a lot, Just wanted to get some thoughts on how good this is ,or if there are other alternatives. I am also not sure if CDMP is more of a US things does it also apply to the UK?
    Many thanks

Not once in the years I've worked in the UK have I come across any requirements like CDMP etc. and I don't think that if working in the UK, such a certificate would bring anything but a $2-3K dent in the wallet.

that's what I feared with an internet search all the information is US centred. So the next question is it terms of qualifications and training what would a good route be in the UK?
